Is everything really 100% cotton?
Yes. Every House of Abhisha product, from bedsheets to bags, is made in 100% cotton. No poly-blends, ever.
What is hand block printing, and why does it cost more than regular prints?
Hand block printing is a manual process where each colour in a design is carved onto a separate wooden block and pressed onto the fabric by hand, one impression at a time. A single bedsheet can take a skilled artisan up to a full day to print.
This is different from machine or digital printing, which takes seconds, and it's why no two pieces are ever exactly identical.
Will the colours run or fade after washing?
Our fabric is washed and set before it reaches you, and hand block printed cotton is known to soften and improve with every wash rather than fade or stiffen like machine-printed fabric often does.
For best results, we recommend a gentle wash in cold water and avoiding harsh detergents. See our full Care Guide for details.
